Warwick Arms Hotel
Held at the newly refurbished, family run Warwick Arms Hotel in the centre of Warwick, there are THREE workshops on offer at Warwick Arms Hotel - a single colour linocut workshop, a two layer reduction workshop - and my TWO DAY linocut workshop too - find out more below!
The day workshops includes all tuition, materials, a welcome tea or coffee and an 'afternoon tea' style lunch with a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream and a slice of home-made cake of your choice.

-SINGLE COLOUR WORKSHOP
These day workshops are an excellent introduction to linocut printmaking, allowing you to take away techniques and methods to be able to create wonderful prints in your own home and you will find out all about the magic of printing with a spoon! £75 2025: Sunday 8th June - four spaces available |
TWO COLOUR REDUCTION WORKSHOP
Suitable for beginners or with those with some experience of linocut; take your printing to the next level and learn how to make a reduction print. This workshop will teach you how to make a two-coloured image using a single block. Learn techniques that you can take away to carry on your printing adventures at home! Places per workshop are limited to 8. £85 Available dates are: 2025: Saturday 26th April Friday 1st August |

Reduction linocut workshop
@ Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry
This workshop will be held over three evenings at Warwick Arts Centre. We'll be learning how to make a two colour (limited edition!) reduction print from a single block. All materials are included along with plenty of coffee and tea and biscuits!
Suitable for beginners or those with some experience of linocut.
The workshops run on Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8.30pm
4th, 11th and 18th March 2025

Bonds Lifestyle workshop:
(previous venue) My last workshop with Alix provided Christmas presents for my grandchildren! I made a brown owl linocut, got it framed. Success. A workshop day is a lot of things - obviously the linocutting is the main reason to attend but it’s also a fab day with like minded people in lovely surroundings with an excellent lunch. Alix is everything I like in a trainer, friendly, calm, assured and offering just enough assistance when you need it - so it’s still your own work. I’ve been to a couple of workshops and really look forward to going to more. It’s a tremendously good way to have some me time. Good for the soul. Suzanne F. |

What an inspirational artist and excellent teacher; Alix had a mix of beginners and proficient linocut artists and still the pace of the workshop, challenges given and learning outcomes were perfectly pitched for everyone to get the very most out of the course.
As I was leaving, with lots of my fresh prints in hand, one of the other participants turned to me with a wry smile and bid me farewell with, “Be careful, it’s addictive!”
Let’s face it, we are all spending more time at home these days so why not learn a new skill, fire up your creative passion and get carving and printing?"
