Reviews I am very proud to have received for my workshops:

From a two colour linocut workshop:
"I really enjoyed the Lino print workshop with Alix Almond. There was a warm welcome as I stepped through the door. Alix is a great teacher, generous with support, tips and how to use the tools. It was my first Lino cut and I am thrilled with the results! We did two colours and my image was my favourite birds, Northumberland Puffins. Alix takes you step by step through the process with great patience and enthusiasm. Her instructions are clear and informative. She takes time with each student to get the best results. Thank you Alix, I will always treasure my puffins!" Jan Hill. |
Bonds Lifestyle workshop:
(previous venue) Alix creates amazing artwork and shares her skills and enthusiasm willingly on her workshops. Great fun in a warm friendly and relaxing group. Real value for money as Alix only has small groups so she can work one on one with everyone. Included a yummy lunch at Bonds too! I left with a new skill to create my own lino cuts at home. Thank you so much Alix. Liz Gardner xx |
Bonds Lifestyle workshop:
(previous venue) My last workshop with Alix provided Christmas presents for my grandchildren! I made a brown owl linocut, got it framed. Success. A workshop day is a lot of things - obviously the linocutting is the main reason to attend but it’s also a fab day with like minded people in lovely surroundings with an excellent lunch. Alix is everything I like in a trainer, friendly, calm, assured and offering just enough assistance when you need it - so it’s still your own work. I’ve been to a couple of workshops and really look forward to going to more. It’s a tremendously good way to have some me time. Good for the soul. Suzanne F. |
Weekend Linocut Workshop:
"I attended Alix’s layered linocut 2 day workshop and my eyes have been opened to a whole new artistic world!
What an inspirational artist and excellent teacher; Alix had a mix of beginners and proficient linocut artists and still the pace of the workshop, challenges given and learning outcomes were perfectly pitched for everyone to get the very most out of the course.
As I was leaving, with lots of my fresh prints in hand, one of the other participants turned to me with a wry smile and bid me farewell with, “Be careful, it’s addictive!”
Let’s face it, we are all spending more time at home these days so why not learn a new skill, fire up your creative passion and get carving and printing?"
